SLAIS offers many exciting research challenges for its faculty and students. Our faculty are provincially, nationally and internationally recognized for their contributions and leadership in Archival Studies and Library and Information Studies research. As well, faculty members are frequently acknowledged for the quality of their teaching and their commitment to professional service, both of which directly contribute to the value of their on-going research.
SLAIS seeks to enrich the intellectual life of our graduate students by providing research opportunities and one-on-one interaction with SLAIS faculty. By being directly involved in faculty research the overall quality of our students' educational experience is increased. As well, students are encouraged to work independently on personal research projects. By expanding research opportunities and experiences for all SLAIS students we hope to better prepare them for their future roles as professional and academic leaders in the information professions.
