Since 2007, I have investigated the roles of information systems and personal digital technologies in the lives of homeless young people, age 13 and up. My work includes service, design and research projects, including helping to create a community technology center for homeless young people where I volunteered as an instructor. You can find out more about my research and find pdfs of many of my publications at: http://dub.washington.edu/people/jill-woelfer.
Current Research:
I am a 2011-2012 Fulbright Fellow to Canada, and I am a visiting graduate student at SLAIS from September 2011 through May 2012. While in Vancouver I will be collecting data for my dissertation, a study of technology, music, and risk-taking behavior with homeless young people in Vancouver, BC and Seattle, WA.
