CLA Student
Chapter Meeting
January 8, 2001
1. Reports
Tanya Thiessen advised
those attending the meeting that she would be unable to commit a significant
amount of time to CLA in this semester, including in updating the web page.
2. International
Librarianship Event
Total expenditures
for the event thus far include:
$40.00 Bar staff
for event
$8.00 Photocopying
Additional expenditures
will likely be:
$30.00 Appreciation
gifts for speakers
Members will provide
snacks for the event. Possible coverage of these expenses will be considered
at a later time.
Anne Olsen will
be responsible for moderating and introducing the speakers.
3. CLA Recruitment
Meeting
A meeting will be
held on January 22, 2000 to recruit new members for CLA. The membership
director for the organization will be flying in for the meeting which will
be held in Room 835 12:15-1:15.
At this time CLA
will also be approached regarding seed funding.
Further details
will be posted next week.
Funding issues in
general were discussed and executive members will be investigating alternative
sources of funding.
4. Tour
of Museum of Anthropology
The anticipated
tour of MOA for January 24 may be delayed. Corey will contact Maryann to
determine tour content and the best date.
5. Next
Meeting
The next meeting
will be held on January 22, 2001 in Room 835, 12:15-1:15.
A new time slot
for future meetings may be chosen based on interest shown from members
at this meeting.
