Meeting January 13, 2004
In attendance: Annie Murray, Anne O'Shea,

May noted what tours SLA is planning,
in order to avoid overlap.

May is looking into what funds are available
to the BCLA-CLA student chapter.

Anne O'Shea has resigned from the position
of tour coordinator.

Tami Setala and Kaye Martin, who both
participated in the student chapter, have graduated.

Susan Atkey is available for working
on web updates.

Annie is going to pass on Greg's job
list to Sara.
Plans

Party with mentors and students (meet
'n greet) TAG workshop on presentation skills (condensed) - Margo is looking
into this.

Future contact with other BCLA-CLA groups.

Writing articles for Feliciter.

Workshop on interviews e.g. from Career
Services, compilation of interview questions from Linda Yan

Lunch hour program on GAA positions,
bring in librarians from UBC who hire GAAs to discuss the process and what
they look for - Sara will talk to Education /Science & Engineering,
Margo will talk to Koerner

Symposium on issues in librarianship
e.g. involve BC Civil Liberties, Librarians without Borders, BCLA-CLA groups,
Barbara Jo May - Annie will discuss with Martin Dowding. This event could
possible be held off campus and last for half a day.
