1) Welcome
2) Approval of
previous minutes (January 13, 2010).
-Approval of previous meeting’s minutes postposed pending clarification
of the role of next year’s YAACS representative by the BCLA Student
Executive at 11:00am.
3) Approval of
agenda.
-Shannon motions, Jeannine seconds at 11:02am.
4) CLA Report (Jeannine)
-Possible volunteer opportunities at the CLA conference in Edmonton (June). More information will be available at a later date.
5) Communications and Website Report (Tara)
-Website updated with information from previous meeting
6) Tour Report (Alice, via Jeannine)
-Anyone interested in the position of tour representative for the 2010-2011 academic year is encouraged to contact Alice.
7) ALPS Report (Tara)
-Position of ALPS representative for the 2010/2011 academic year is still open.
8) YAACS Report (Shannon)
-Recap of Salon on Health Information and Youth Services (February 2, 2010, with SLAIS graduate Emma MacEntee)
-Next meeting of YAACS book club scheduled for March 16, 2010
-An
e-mail soliciting interest in the position of YAACS representative for
the 2010/2011 academic year will be sent out in April.
9) Old Business
-More
postiitions still open for next year: Tour Coordinator, mentorship
positions, Communications & Website Coordinator, ALPS
representative.
-Sumanjit Manhas elected to position of Communications & Website Coordinator
10) New Business
-Reminder that year-end summaries will be due soon
-Unanimous approval of $50 donation to Career Expo (March 18-19, 2010)
