CLASSIFICATION OF LAW MATERIALS:
A COMPARISON OF THE MOYS CLASSIFICATION AND THE KF MODIFIED SYSTEMS

This site was created as an introduction to, and comparison of, the two major classification schemes most widely used by law libraries in Canada: Moys and KF Modified.  Moys and KF Modified are classification schemes specifically created for the classification of the legal materials of common law countries such as Canada, New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom.  They differ from the traditional Library of Congress classification scheme in that they classify materials by form and subject, rather than by jurisdiction.
