- Development: A detailed overview of the technical considerations employed in the construction of the Thesaurus.
- Sources Consulted: A descriptive bibliography of the documents that were used in the selection and formatting of Thesaurus terms, and the structuring of relationships between these as well.
- Thesaurus: Includes a User Guide, a Quick Reference window and the alphabetical, hierarchical and top term display formats of the Thesaurus.
Acknowledgments
- The Thesaurus and this web site were conceived of and created by Drew Jackson, Paul Joseph and Joshua Wager for the Winter Term II 2006 offering of LIBR 512: Indexing , in the School of Library, Archival and Information Studies (SLAIS) at the University of British Columbia (UBC). The three individuals mentioned are graduate students seeking their MLIS degrees.
- A trial version of Multisystems' MultiTes was used to store, manage and create displays for Thesaurus terms.
- HTML for this site was hand-coded and wysiwyged in Macromedia Dreamweaver 8.
- The four images used for the masthead are all from Flickr, and permission from each of the four users who posted them has been granted; the four images were cropped and de-sized in Adobe Photoshop CS2.
- The Anti-Doping Thesaurus was for the purposes of this course project created with the World Anti-Doping Agency as its host organization; in truth, however, it bears no official connection with this organization, and it is hoped that this fictitious association is received as a benign salute to WADA's efforts.
