CONCLUSIONS
There is no
mysterious formula that will eliminate
technostress for librarians. Technological changes, and our struggles
to deal
with them, will persist. Knowing
that
we will continue to face these challenges, it will be important to keep
the
human element in mind, and "keep in balance the demands of the future
with
the need for some degree of stability and familiarity" (Goldborough,
2005,
para 5).
As
Kupersmith
states, positive attitudes and sensible coping and management
strategies will
ease our struggles and benefit both librarians and users, enabling us
to
concentrate on the excitement of being at the heart of true revolution
(para.
66).
