Course Restrictions : Admission to the SLAIS Ph.D. program Course Goal : The goal of this course is to equip students with the theoretical and methodological knowledge and skills necessary to successfully carry out doctoral level research. Course ObjectivesThis course will:
Introduce students to the research process and research design Expose students to various strategies and techniques of enquiry in the social sciences and humanities- Provide students with the capacity to critically evaluate research in the fields of LIS and Archival Studies
- Provide students with the skills necessary for the effective communication of research in oral presentations and in writing
- Prepare students to undertake research for their dissertation
