LIBR 500: FOUNDATIONS OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (3) -- COurse Description

[PREVIOUSLY: LIBR 500: FOUNDATIONS OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY]

PRE or CO-REQUISITES : LIBR 501 a required co-requisite   

 

GOALS: The goal of this course is to provide students with the foundations of information technologies and their use in knowledge-based organizations.

Course Objectives: Upon completion of this course students will be able to:

 
  • Create a PowerPoint presentation using PowerPoint 2007
  • Create simple pages using hand-coded HTML
  • Create simple pages using an HTML editor
  • Create and use external CSS stylesheets
  • Create a World Wide Web presentation using a WYSIWYG program
  • Understand the basic concepts of relationbal database design
  • Understand and be able to discuss the course topics listed below
