Statements of Research & Scholarship
My research interests focus on the historical development of children's literature and the trends and issues in contemporary children's literature. I believe an awareness and critical evaluation of Canadian children's and young adult literature is significant in the development of a cultural identity in Canadian children. I am currently researching Canadian illustrated books for children.
